claude code just pushed an update for auto mode on their api and enterprise accounts, defaulting to a server-side classifier that doesn't charge for overhead. nice for cost management!
looks like claude code updated their auto mode billing for bedrock, vertex, and foundry users too, with a new server-side classifier and a status check for it.
